McCollum Construction (MC) is owned and operated John B. McCollum, a master home builder with 35+ years experience in residential building.  I am a hands on owner/operator and oversee the complete building of all projects that McCollum Construction Co. works on.  This keeps cost as low as possible as well as giving my customers the most home for your money.         I got in the construction business the year I graduated high school when my father and uncle started a business called Poly M. Contractors. I started out doing electrical and AC installation, shortly after we started building houses.        I have been working on my own for the past 25+ years. I’ve enjoyed the designing and creativity aspect of homebuilding.          My family and I reside in Gibson County and have lived near dyer for the past 30+ years. I am proud to live and work in West Tennessee and to have my business here. I have five sisters, three daughters and seven grandchildren.  Right now I’m having the time of my life with my five little grandsons and two granddaughters.        I am a very supportive member of the Jackson Area Homebuilders Association and the National Homebuilders as I want to stay on top of all new government regulations, as they are constantly changing. My Goal       The goal of McCollum Construction is to offer my clients top quality houses that are more energy efficient and that have the extra's that they are looking for when building a new home or upgrading/re-modeling at a lower cost than other builders in the area.       I want to make your home building or re-modeling experience a very pleasant one.
